STORMWATER

Stormwater Management, while often overlooked, is the process of controlling the stormwater runoff that comes from buildings, parking lots, and other surfaces that water cannot penetrate. Often, with precipitation and a lack of proper stormwater management, the natural local channels and streams can easily become overwhelmed, which causes erosion, flooding, and property damage. The quantity of runoff from these areas quickly overwhelms natural channels and streams causing channel erosion, localized flooding, and property damage - not to mention the fact that stormwater can carry pollutants (such as motor oil) and trash into our streets, creeks, and rivers. Needless to say, repairs for these situations can be extremely expensive. That's why proactive storm management is the best course of action.
